On December 7th 2018, the Southern Human Rights Organizers Conference (SHROC) presented Glory Kilanko, the Founder and Executive Director of Women Watch Afrika with the Fannie Lou Hamer Award for her steadfast commitment to Human Rights, Justice, and Immigrant Rights. This was Ms. Kilanko’s second Fannie Lou Hamer Award having received it previously from a different organization. Ms. Kilanko has also been recognized as an “Unsung Human Rights Defender.”
Congratulations Glory Kilanko, you are recognized for being a global warrior, activist, community organizer, transformative trainer, and a phenomenal woman! We salute you!
