WWA advocates on laws that protect the rights of women and girls, the application of those laws, and develops and implements services and programs which promote economic self-sufficiency and empowerment of women to prepare them in accumulating in a new environment, and for community leadership and civic engagement. WWA promotes action for social change through community organizing, advocacy, education, and works collaboratively with local, national and international social justice organizations with similar goals to stimulate the exchange of information, promote the advancement of women, and to share training opportunities and group development.
WWA is available to provide technical assistance, presentations, workshops, talks, writing, and other consulting services to academic institutes, organizations, coalitions, and other national and international agencies interested in women’s rights and development, eliminating the practice of Female Genital Mutilation, engaging refugee and newly-arriving women in community health promotion and civic engagement activities.
