Health Fair

Women Watch Afrika, Inc. co-sponsored a Health Fair along with Clarkston Baptist Church which  was held on their premises.  The women from the class attended.  Booths provided information  on various health issues, e.g. diabetes, HIV aids, healthy eating, benefits of exercising.  Blood pressures were monitored.  Workshops on finance, heart disease and safety were held.  WWA booth provided brochures on our projects and services:  Domestic Violence Education on Prevention and Crisis Intervention; Culturally Appropriate Health Program for Immigrant Women, the Healthy Heart Handbook for women; the Red Dress Pin for Heart Disease awareness;  and Universal Declaration of Human Rights.  WWA provided bottled water, apples and bananas.
