A Day of Remembrance, Awareness, and Service

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (MLK Day), and this year marks the 43rd anniversary of MLK Day, a celebration of Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Today, we take the time to pause and reflect. We pause with gratitude for those individuals who remain committed to service and action that honors Dr. King’s legacy. And we reflect on Dr. King statement that “everyone has the power for greatness…for greatness is determined by service.”
As a grassroots organization, Women Watch Afrika has always been on the frontline supporting immigrants, refugees, asylees, and newly naturalized citizens in the state of Georgia. We served over 900+ families last year providing civic engagement, community trainings, financial and tangible assistance, communal food support, educational workshops, crisis and mental/emotional health counseling, legal services, and empowerment services.
Dr. King had a dream of change but unfortunately, we find our nation still steeped in the same struggle for justice, equality, and equity that Dr. King envisioned and strove for. So, on this day of observance, we invite you to join us in continued commitment to service, compassion, and action that uplifts our communities.
We invite you to join our movement to provide for, empower, educate, and elevate the immigrant and refugee community and the community at large. Make a Gift to Women Watch Afrika, Inc., and become a part of WWA’s mission to make a difference in the lives of many every day. Every gift counts. Make a gift today!
The struggle for justice and equality is ongoing. “Injustice Anywhere Is A Threat to Justice Everywhere” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
