Update on the Murder Bill SB 171: It has passed the Senate. We need to STOP this bill!

March 16, 2022 by Women Watch Afrika Leave a Comment

A lot of the freedoms we have today have come to be as a result of protest, matches, and demonstrations that people embarked upon to complain about ills that needed to be addressed. And recently, most of the protests have been as a result of killings that have targeted the Black community which has resulted in people taking to the streets. While Women Watch Afrika condemns the destruction of both private and public properties during protests, we at the same time oppose the killing of our children, the taking of lives.  Women Watch Afrika makes bold to say, property can be replaced but lives are irreplaceable.

As such, Women Watch Afrika Condemns SB 171.

SB 171 condones the taking of lives without penalty. It allows for individuals to attack and kill protesters without fear of prosecution. It infringes on the first amendment rights.  It is a bill of MURDER and the DESTROYER of individuals rights.

🚨ALERT: Anti-Protestor bill: SB 171. This is a bad bill!

We need to stop #SB171!

Call your Georgia House of Representatives!
