Reflecting back on the past World Refugee Days as we count down to the upcoming World Refugee Day 2020
World Refugee Day is observed every year on 20th of June in order to raise public awareness about refugee situations throughout the world.
Therefore, every year, on June 20, the world commemorates the Strength, Courage, and Resilience of millions of refugees.
On World Refugee Day, the world comes together to support millions of families all over the world who have lost their homes and dear ones because of violence or war. Today, more than 69 million people around the world are refugees or internally displaced as a result of conflict or persecution. That is equivalent to the population of the world’s 20th largest country.
World Refugee Day is also a day to recognize the contributions of refugees in our communities.
There is so much beauty, intelligence, and accomplishments in the diversity in our nation.
Join us in virtually observing World Refugee Day 2020. The theme of World Refugee Day 2020 will focus on raising worldwide awareness of global responsibility for refugees.
