Giving Tuesday is December 2nd, But You Don’t Have to Wait – Support Women Watch Afrika Today!

Giving Tuesday is December 2nd

Support Women Watch Afrika Today as we start our campaign for #GivingTuesday

Giving Tuesday is Coming up Next week– But You Don’t Have to Wait!  You can Support Women Watch Afrika Today!

As you know, Women Watch Afrika as a grassroots organization has always been on the frontline supporting immigrants, refugees, and asylees in the state of Georgia.

We have served the community with much needed support:  monthly communal food support to over 700 families, diapers to 100 nursing mothers in need, and providing rental assistance to 350 families.  Our Communal Support event last week was a success: WWA provided meals, household items, non-perishable food items, diapers, etc. to over 150 members of the community.

We provide services to immigrants, refugees, and asylees from over 23 African nations, as well as immigrants from Jamaica, Haiti, Burma, Afghanistan, and Vietnam, to name a few.  Moreover, with the increasing toll of the current landscape and community needs, we have expanded our efforts to assist all community members (citizens, immigrants, and migrants alike) with the monthly communal food and diapers support.

We have served over 900+ families this year and are on track to exceed that number in the next year.  In addition to providing them financial and tangible assistance, we also provide educational, crisis and mental/emotional health counseling, legal services, and empowerment services.

Many of the refugees, asylees, and immigrants we serve arrive to the United States with nothing but the clothes on their backs.  Most refugees and asylees flee for their lives and leave everything they own behind.

As you may know, the individuals that are brought into the country by the United States as refugees are required to pay back the cost of the airplane flights.  The need to find a stable job, the rising costs of everything from rent to food, to gas, to medication, etc., all force many into distress.

Be a part of our work to build a stronger, safer, healthier, educated, happier, and empowered community.

Our goal is to raise $30,000.  Whether it is $200, $500, $1000, or more, every bit counts.  Every bit you can give is needed and much appreciated.  Give a gift today and consider becoming a monthly donor.

Your gift will be used to continue to provide our monthly Communal Food support, Diaper support, and other much needed support to a community that is low-income and underserved.

Join our movement to provide for, empower, educate, and elevate the immigrant and refugee community and the community at large.  Make a Gift to Women Watch Afrika, Inc., and become a part of WWA’s mission to make a difference in the lives of many every day.  Every gift counts.   Make a gift today!

Share this with your family and friends and ask them to join the effort and consider becoming monthly donors. They can help in strengthening our communities and make an impact—one family at a time. Remember—every bit counts.

We are ever Thankful for Your continued support.  We wish you a restful and rejuvenating time during this Thanksgiving holiday.

With grateful appreciation,

– Women Watch Afrika
